The New Mikado

If you have missed the taste of Mikado's since going gluten free, you will love this little hack!

I was thinking this weekend about how much I missed sitting on the sofa on the weekend and demolishing a whole pack of Mikados. Which led me to think, why don't I try to re-create them!

I discovered the Schar breadsticks not too long ago and was really impressed with the flavour and texture alone. The thought of adding chocolate to this made my mouth water like crazy!! So, all I did was melt some Galaxy chocolate in a bain-marie (a bowl placed over simmering water) and coat the tips of the breadsticks. I added some shimmer to some of them which I think will be great for the festive season! (Can't wait!!) I left them to chill in the fridge for around 10 minutes and then tucked right in!

It was honestly so simple and quick for a special treat - I think I'm going to do it more often, especially when I have people over for a buffet!
